SR-71 Blackbird / Mission briefing
A large 1:48 display kit of the Blackbird, measuring 70 cm long and emphasizing its long contours, engine shapes, wing sections and panel detail.
The third MasterBuilds aircraft continues the approach developed for the A-10 and F-15E: substantial display dimensions and an entirely support-free printing layout.
All parts connect by snap-fit without glue. Separate sections are designed to conceal visible layer lines and produce a smooth surface with little cleanup.
Unlocked campaign goals include a Mach Three Club medal and a Lockheed D-21 drone; the campaign describes the drone as an immediate free release.
The model's large dimensions and fine tolerances require careful calibration. Testing focuses on joint fit, layer adhesion, surface finish and reliable printing of each section.
