F-117 Nighthawk / Mission briefing
A 1:48 snap-fit interpretation of the stealth attack aircraft, built around its angular silhouette, sharp edges and distinctive panel transitions.
At approximately 43 cm long, the F-117 captures the aircraft that introduced operational stealth and precision night strikes in an accessible display kit.
The design lists less than 300 g of filament and under 12 hours of total printing, with a nearly support-free layout intended to reduce waste and keep assembly practical.
Unlocked stretch goals add an opening bomb bay, retractable bomb racks, two GBU-27 Paveway III bombs and movable control surfaces. Print-in-place hinges support the moving mechanisms.
Printer calibration, filament and extrusion affect snap-fit joints. Moving features need careful printing and assembly; final refinements may follow testing feedback.
